Ingredients:

  • 4 (6-oz) tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry with paper towels to ensure a better sear.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, zest, and chopped parsley until glossy.
  4. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over each fillet, ensuring the edges are well-coated.
  6. Bake in the center rack for 10–12 minutes. Turn the broiler on for the final 2 minutes to caramelize the garlic butter into a golden-brown crust.
  7. Remove from the oven once the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
